Prof. dr. ir. Bart Bossink
Technology and Innovation

I hold the chair of Technology and Innovation at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration and the Faculty of Sciences at VU University Amsterdam. I obtained a M.Sc.-degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, and a Ph.D.-degree in Civil Engineering and Management, both from Twente University of Technology. I learned to integrate applied science and concrete technology with the goals and measures of organizations and business. My key approach in the management of technology and innovation is that all technological invention - whether it is for example  bio-technological, mechanical, or energy-technological - can and has to be seen in the context of commercial organizations and the customers these companies serve.

A short and a more detailed resume is enclosed in CV.docx and CV Detailed.docx.

Was:
"Call the tech guy!"    Is: "Be the tech guy!"
Was: Design as a cost item    Is: Design as a value driver
Was: Technology supports change    Is: Technology drives change

These statements - and more interesting stuff - are excitingly explained by Tom Peters in his book "Re-imagine!"
