Lecture 5: The social construction of entrepreneurship

This lecture will combine the models and theories introduced in

the previous lectures into an alternative model of entrepreneurship.

This lecture will introduce the concept of intersectionality, which

holds that experiences in entrepreneurship (or at the workplace in

general) are affected by the multiple positions that people take in society

(and their power).

A related concept is life story analysis in which the life of an entrepreneur

is divided in stages (chapters). A social network analysis is then performed

for each life chapter to study the building of an entrepreneur’s social capital.
