Who is Peverelli?
Dr. Peter J. Peverelli
Dr. Peverelli started learning Chinese at age 14 and has lived
in China for almost 10 years.He received a degree in Chinese
Language & Culture at Leiden University and obtained a PhD
in Arts from the same university. Later he added a PhD in
Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam,
specialising in organization theory. He started working for Gist-
brocades, now part of DSM, 1985. Since 1991 he is working as
an independent consultant. He combines his consulting business
with a position at FEWEB since 2001. Apart from his teaching in
Amsterdam, Dr. Peverelli teaches a course in Entrepreneurship at
Renmin Business School.
His research themes include: Chinese corporate identity and social
capital of Chinese entrepreneurs. Most of his research is conducted
in cooperation with colleagues from partner universities in China.
